family photos

Family photos can either take place before the ceremony (which is usually the case if you're doing a first look) or afterward. Because every family situation is unique, I have my couples send me a list of which family members they would like photos with and the particular groupings they want. Because it can take some time to round everyone up for family photos, there are a couple of things I highly recommend that will make things much easier the day of your wedding!

First, let your family know ahead of time that you'd like photos with them, and tell them what time these will be taking place once we have your timeline created! It can be super helpful to have a group chat with these family members so that, when we have decided on a meeting point or location for the photos, everybody can be easily notified.

Tip: having a friend or family member that is responsible for rounding everybody up for photos on the wedding day itself is extremely helpful. I recommend this is someone that is not in your bridal party so that they have more freedom to be in multiple places and find family members if need be.
